In this time of paying for checked bags, Reena and I deal by carrying on everything needed to support a family of four. This time, our flight is much of tomorrow, and we will arrive in BOS on New Year's Eve. Gwen gave me a bottle of berry cider that unfortunately can't be taken on board our flights (to San Fran and then to Boston). As much as I would like to consume a bottle of cider on these flights, it ain't gonna happen. The cost of an equivalent amount of alcohol in flight would be about the same as another ticket, so I am sitting here in the evening sipping a glass of very nice berry cider before tomorrow's adventure.

Glass Tile Effect
As I sit at my sister's table, the glass pitcher is refracting light and the spoked chair behind creates a striking image reminding of one the work on one of my now-defunct favorite art blogs, Fractal Beanstalk.

Blogs, Twitter, and more
Well, feel free to check out some new feeds I am working on:
Technologicalontogeny: a blog of my growth in educational technology
Dadding Ideas: a blog of my thoughts on parenting and being a dad
@rilesdan: (don't know if I have formatted the link correctly) my twitter feed- just because much of ed tech happens here. I am a neophyte tweeter.
Have fun!

Lewis Park
Today I stopped by Lewis Park, a place near my house where we often went to play. There is a pond, inhabited by crawdads and frogs in my childhood, that is ringed by fossiliferous limestone. I spent many hours looking for impressions of ancient life in these rocks. We also had this limestone in our back yard dividing the grape arbor from the garden.

At the Round Table
Rose and Reuben eating at the table at 750 Harvard. We bought this table unfinished, and one of my childhood memories is when it replaced the blue, Formica-topped, wobbly one.

A New Leaf
The last few days, amidst travel to St. Louis and Rose being quite sick, I have embarked on reorganizing my digital life.
This is my first post using blogsy.
It is the beginning of many adjustments; keep tuned for more!
