The Slow Cooker
I managed to create another fractal that is taking days to render. Before setting it up on the slow cooker, I rendered a few fractals for tees such as the green one in my last post.

Days? I take it you are using Ultrafractal or something like that.
You may find Xaos worth checking out. It's freeware and can be downloaded at: http://sourceforge.net/projects/xaos
It doesn't have tons of effects but it still does alot. And quickly too.
It's one of my favorites and I've posted a number of images made with it on my blog. Parameter files too.
I also do not have the fastest machine on the planet, but I did just get a new display to watch the bytes speed by. Yes I am using Ultrafractal. It is just the one I bumped into when beginning my explorations. It seems that some of the public coloring algorithms add significant amounts of data to crunch when renderning. I am also rendering at rediculously high levels of resolution and size. I may just want to print one of these up as a billboard. However, I probably will skip the huge file size pretty soon.
This all reminds me of my high school days, when I attempted to write my own printer utility on the Commodore 64. The darn thing took about 20 hours to process! i.e.: Not Useful.
